Norwich Game Could Move Again Wednesday, 2nd Jul 2014 16:35 Town’s home derby against Norwich City, controversially moved to noon on Sunday 24th August from the previous day earlier this week, could be set for a further switch with a meeting to discuss issues surrounding the match taking place later this week. The clubs, the police and local councils will be amongst those attending a meeting on Friday afternoon to talk about matters relating to the game, including the rail engineering work which is taking place between Norwich and Ipswich on the Sunday. Town club secretary Sally Webb told BBC Radio Suffolk’s Mark Murphy Show: “We are meeting on Friday at Suffolk Constabulary headquarters where a lot of people will be getting around the table to talk through the issues about the game and all those factors which are now becoming known, including disruption in the town centre to do with roadworks. “All these things are coming to light and we need to sit down and discuss them all and go through this very, very carefully to ensure that we come to the right conclusion.” We understand that a Saturday kick-off, most likely at lunchtime, has not yet been entirely ruled out and Webb confirmed that the current scheduling could change: “I’m not going to say it’s cast in stone. The likelihood and the recommendations have been to hold it on a Sunday.” She added: “It’s possible that Sky may be interested, they do have a slot on a Sunday at 1pm, that’s a possibility.”
