Bullard Linked Again

Town have again been linked with Peterborough United midfielder Jimmy Bullard. The 23-year-old was reported to have been watched by Town on several occasions in October, although at the time Posh manager Barry Fry denied any enquiry from Town.

Fry now says that there are a number of clubs interested in the player signed from West Ham on a free in the summer with Town thought to be one of them.

The tubby man of football management says of his £1 million plus-rated asset: "Three clubs have made their interest clear and it would be a big surprise if Jimmy was here much longer."

Bullard joined West Ham for £30,000 from Gravesend and Northfleet in February 1999. He failed to make the first team at Upton Park and after a trial in the summer moved to London Road on a three year deal. His central midfield displays have impressed and he has scored nine goals this season, several of the spectacular variety.
