Lawrence Again in Action for Colchester
Tuesday, 2nd Sep 2014 15:07

Midfielder Byron Lawrence was in action for Colchester’s U21s as they lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest at the Weston Homes Community Stadium last night.

The 18-year-old was playing his second game for the U’s youngsters having been made available on a free transfer by boss Mick McCarthy.

New Colchester manager Tony Humes - who will know Lawrence well from his time at Town’s academy - watched the game.

Could be an interesting one as Humes was here when BL was a bright young thing. Shame it hasn't worked out well here after initial promise.
