The two Town lads involved in Thursday's U19 international against Germany at Portman Road continue to look forward to their big night. Martin Hunter's side will be without captain Jermaine Jenas after he played in yesterday's U21 match.

Matt Bloomfield is looking to emulate the England first team by thrashing Germany on Thursday: "Every game against Germany has special interest. Even though this is a friendly I'm sure each team will give 100%. But at the same time it is another normal game and we have to approach it in the same way. A 5-1 win like the seniors would be nice, but more importantly is a good performance. And for me personally, it is important that I perform well to make sure I'm selected in the next England squad which plays against Lithuania. I have had to pull out of the squad for two friendlies last year so this will be especially important for me."

Darren Bent sees his experience at senior level helping him out: "Playing those games in the first team in Helsingborg and Newcastle and Bolton will help me at international level because obviously in the first team they are all some much bigger and it is more physical. For some reason when we play foreign opposition they are bigger than the England lads so me being used to that will be of benefit."
