Saturday, 24th Jan 2015 15:51

Shane McLoughlin (pictured), James Blanchfield and Sam Ford were on target as Town’s U18s beat Millwall 3-1 at their Calmont Road training ground this morning.

McLoughlin netted from the spot on the half hour, then Blanchfield scored six minutes later to make it 2-0 at the break. Noel Leighton pulled a goal back for the home side but Sam Ford sealed the victory with five minutes remaining.

The Town side included schoolboys Nick Hayes in goal, Luke Woolfenden in defence and England call-up Andre Dozzell in midfield, as well as Jacob PArtridge from the bench.

The Blues XI also featured Kolade Salaudeen, a trialist defender from Thamesmead Town who also played in last week’s defeat to Brentford.

Meanwhile, the Blues and Lions U16s drew 3-3, also at Calmont Road.

U18s: Hayes, Daly, Kenlock, Woolfenden, Salaudeen, Smith, Dozzell, Blanchfield, McLoughlin, Ramadan, Patterson. Used subs: Ellis, Ford and Partridge.
