Town Confirm Chaplow Loan Extension
Thursday, 26th Mar 2015 10:53

The Blues have confirmed the extension of midfielder Richard Chaplow’s loan from Millwall until the end of the season.

As was also the case with striker Luke Varney, the 30-year-old joined the Blues for an initial month but with an agreement that he could stay for the rest of the season. The break allows the 93-day limit of his loan to stretch to the end of the play-offs.

Chaplow’s new deal runs to the final day of the regular Championship season on Saturday 2nd May with an option for him to stay until after the play-offs if required.

The Accrington-born midfielder has made two starts and two sub appearances for the Blues and scored the dramatic 95th minute winner at Watford on Saturday.

@Hazelton

I heard we only signed Chaplow because Yaya Toure failed his medical. Don't be such a melt! Evans probably saved the club from going under like Pompey. We've thrown money at it before and it probably put us 5 years in the wrong direction. We don't have the best squad but certainly one of the most hard working who actually care about the club. I for one, would take that all day long over ability and bad attitude.

Leaping all over 3 Watford fans who shook my hand at the end and wished the town luck. One said that was the best display he had seen in a long time

Hazelton: We have signed goalscoring midfielder, thats what everyone has asked for and thats what Mick has done - Are you a Nrowich troll in diguise, trying to stir up negativity?

He has probably scored one of the most important goals from midfield this season, at such a crucial time..

Support all the comments condeming Hazelton - he wants the days back of Fenidi George, Serini & the likes spend, spend, spend -then look what happened to Burley & the Club we are still trying to recover from that thought pattern of the past.

Good loan. Does make you wonder - our loanees all play well for us - why don't they get games at their (often more lowly) own clubs?
