Strong Side Starts at Cambridge

Town boss Mick McCarthy has named a strong starting line-up for this evening’s friendly at Cambridge United (KO 7.45pm).

Christophe Berra is involved in his first friendly of pre-season and starts, while David McGoldrick is also at the Abbey Stadium and is likely to be involved in the second half.

Cambridge: Trialist, Omozusi, Roberts, Legge, Corr, Dunk, Simpson, Morrissey, L Hughes, J Hughes, Newton.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers, Tabb, Bru, Smith, Berra, Maitland-Niles, Skuse, Pitman, Sears, Fraser.

Cartman1972 - why bother with Sanson when our own master of them all, Mickey Mills, was the same height as he 5.7" but you are so right about small full backs.

we need right and left full backs and quick ,allow the centre pairing to stop getting dragged around. Another ball winning type in midfield too as we only have skude. BRu and Bishop are creative and will get goals in my opinion. Last year loads of steel no flair , no loads of flair and no steel ,worlds gone mad
