A very good effort by a much changed team, McGoldrick my stand out Town player, with Bart, Emmanuel, Yorwerth, Parr, Bru, Tabb and Oar all putting in a very good shift against multi-million pound opposition.

Good performance from a reserve side. Bart kept us in it at times and I'm excited about the prospect of Tommy Oar, he looked lively. I was disappointed with Malarczyk, I know he needs time to settle but he wasnt good enough for the first and third goal. I've worried about him the last few times I've seen him now but hopefully he will settle and be a stalwart

Agree with the ratings here. MM saying we'd have been beaten whatever team we put out is pessimistic on a night mid-table League 2 Carlisle took Liverpool to pens. We're not really playing like we did in August, so perhaps MM is right. Stand out players were Yorworth and McG, plus Coke for looking like a pub-player vs Juan Mata.
