More than 400 football-related lots will be sold off at the auction over the weekend of January 23rd and 24th Auction manager James Sadler said: “This is the largest football auction for many, many years. There is an abundance of football items from clubs all over the country, and also abroad.” Amongst the Ipswich Town-related programmes is the 1945 Royal Navy versus British Army match at Portman Road. From Norfolk comes the programme for the 1935 County Senior Cup final between the Norwich City A team and Sheringham. From further afield there is the programme from a 1929 Wales versus Ontario international that was staged in Toronto. On January 6th, 7th and 9th, Lockdales' experts in a wide variety of fields will be at valuation days held at their Martlesham Heath base.
