Trialist Morphew Still Sidelined Monday, 29th Feb 2016 19:37 Needham Market defender or midfielder Keiran Morphew remains sidelined with the groin injury which forced his week on trial with the Blues to be postponed. Morphew picked up the injury during Needham’s 0-0 draw at Lewes in the Ryman League Premier Division three weeks ago, a couple of days before he was due to spend a week training with the Town first team. The 22-year-old, who greatly impressed Town boss Mick McCarthy with his performance in the recent 1-0 U21s victory over QPR, is around a fortnight away from a return to action and is continuing to use the Blues’ facilities during his rehab. Morphew will spend his week training with Town first team squad once he has returned to action with Needham.
Meanwhile, Blues midfielder Kundai Benyu is back in training after four months out with bone bruising to his knee. The 18-year-old second-year scholar was on the first team bench twice last season, when he signed a professional deal until the summer of 2017, and for two Capital One Cup ties earlier in this campaign but is yet to make his senior debut.
