TWTD League Calculator 2015/16
Wednesday, 9th Mar 2016 11:03

With 11 games of Town’s 2015/16 Championship campaign remaining, it’s time to give TWTD's League Calculator a go to assess how the final weeks of the season might pan out.

The League Calculator allows you to input your predicted results for all the remaining fixtures likely to affect a club's league position and then outputs a final table.

To give it a go, click here. The League Calculator will remain available via the Interactive menu above throughout the remainder of the season.

Post your final table below or on the forum for discussion and assessment.

I've maybe optimistically got us on 75 points.

But bear in mind the past 3 seasons you've needed 78 (2014-15), 72 (2013-14) and 68 (2012-13) to finish 6th (so just shy of 73 points on average needed)… like I say, my prediction of 75 is ‘optimistic'. If we do get play-offs it'll be by the skin of our teeth in my opinion.

I can see us winning all of our home games. Can't see any wins away. Much will then depend on other results. I also have us finishing sixth. Hull and Burnley to get promoted.

This gets us sneaking in at 6th with Hull and Burnley at 1 and 2 respectively. I've been quite conservative with the results and tried not to be too much of a Town Fanboy. I've been correct in the last couple of seasons though...

Stats are stats, but our % win and draw home and away probably don't support the a lot of wins at home, we seem to have struggled to assert ourselves at home with a high % of draws and a more positive view on undeserved sneaky 1-0 away wins might seems more probable. May be they add up to the same, the difference seems to be the quality of the opposition in our away games.

Always going to be shouting for a win but not too optimistic for a top 6 finish, if we do then it's a lottery and why not!!!

Paulnstar, I think heart ruling head mate. As I stated it's a very optimistic view. Some of those teams will be scrapping to get out of the relegation quagmire, which is a factor I've probably overlooked. Put it this way, I'd not put any money on my predictions...

Well at least we're the undisputed champions of being the longest serving team in the Championship, a title I suspect we'll be cementing even further come end of the season! (what an accolade that is), comparable to someone who might have bought a second hand Hyundai Amica in the mid 2000's and still has it now, because 'it still runs, never let me down'.

How long has it been since we were a really 'good' team now???? Actually lets not go there.

But you have to hope I guess. Stanger things have happened.
