Touré Released
Friday, 6th May 2016 18:21

Town have confirmed that Guinean international midfielder Larsen Touré will be moving on following Saturday's final game at Derby with his one-year deal coming to an end and the Blues not taking up the option of a further season.

The 31-year-old made five starts and six sub appearances having joined Town last summer after a trial.

“Larsen will be moving on and we wish him well,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the club website.

There's always one scapegoat in the side isn't there! Douglas isn't going anywhere, his appearance clause means he's signed on for another year. So why don't we get off his back and try support him instead of pelting him every week? He's really not been as bad as some fans are making out. He's not been stand out this season, but then again who has? His experience and know how will be handy next season with the likes of Dozzell coming through. I have full faith in MM to sign the right players for this squad and we can continue to build for next season. Positivity, anything can happen with the correct recruritment and team spirit. Let's get behind the boys next season and be as amazing as we were this. COYB!

Thank goodness. For all the spin, ITFC really failed to deliver in the Summer and January transfer windows. The signings of the lies of Toure and Coke go to show what you get when major money is received but is reinvested in the 'running of the club' rather than the playing squad. The cast majority of this seasons signings won't be here next year mainly because they are poor players. We opted for cheap and that's what we got. In terms of our players on Knudsen and Pitman have been relative successes, but haven't set the world alight. Hopefully Coke and Douglas will be shipped out next.

We need a fresher transfer policy from now on.

Younger players from leagues 1 & 2.

The 30+ journeymen thing very rarely works.

Shame. Wasn't given enough of a chance. Also a shame that people remember that (terrible) corner when the games he did play in he was probably one of the better players on the pitch. Either way he was a pretty pointless buy as he was never going to be given a chance above some of the other 'favourites'. Good luck Larsen, seems a genuinely nice guy.

Like so many others have said both here and on the forum, it's got to be coke and Douglas next. Toure was actually an ok player I thought. Douglas just hasn't really fitted into the squad and has moments where he looks ok.

Didn't really do enough to be an established Ipswich Town player, but i wish him the very best for the future
