![]() Tuesday, 2nd Apr 2002 10:38 George Burley singled Tommy Miller out for praise after Town's 0-0 draw with Chelsea. The former Hartlepool man was making his first Premiership start for the Blues. Burley said: "Tommy Miller was absolutely outstanding. He covered every blade of grass, he tackled, he passed it, got into goal-scoring positions, and he was a real bonus for us." The player himself was tired after the game, but pleased with his performance: "I enjoyed it. It has been a long time coming and it was a fast game so I'm fairly shattered, I can tell you. "But I felt I did alright. It was a frightening prospect being up against the likes of Hasselbaink, especially considering I was playing in the Third Division last season. "We thought Petit and Lampard would start so to see they weren't might have been a relief, but then you have Jokanovic and Dalla Bona there so it wasn't quite the case. "But I enjoyed the battle. Now I have had the taste there is no way I want to go back into the Nationwide." After the game Miller swapped shirts with Chelsea sub Frank Lampard.
