Portman Road for U17s?
Portman Road for U17s?
Sunday, 7th Apr 2002 23:54

Town's U17s had a successful Saturday morning beating Sunderland 3-0 away in their latest play-off game. They now face Manchester United in a match TWTD hears the club will try to bring to Portman Road.

The game, on April 20th, is scheduled to be played at the United training ground, but Town want to emulate last season's excellent Portman Road atmosphere when the FA Youth Cup side took on Arsenal at the end of last season.

The U17s scorers were Barron (2) and Bowditch. The U19s beat Tottenham 2-1 at Playford Road with goals from Guy Bonwick and Steve Burton. The U19s are unbeaten since Christmas and face Millwall away in their final game of the season next Saturday morning.
