Venus Likely to Be Back
Venus Likely to Be Back
Monday, 8th Apr 2002 12:13

Mark Venus, subbed at half-time on Saturday along with Sixto Peralta and Finidi George, will be available for Town's next game at Arsenal on April 23rd. Venus passed a fitness test on Saturday morning but was clearly feeling his knee injury throughout the first half.

Neither of the other two players were injured, although Sixto Peralta has looked very much short of full fitness in recent games.

By the time the Blues meet Arsenal they could have a number of other players back in contention. Chris Makin's ankle injury has taken longer to heal than originally expected, but he could be OK for the visit to Highbury. Matteo Sereni is more of a doubt with his torn thigh muscle.

Pablo Couñago has a twisted ankle and misses tonight's reserve game. He should also be fit before the Arsenal match. Jermaine Wright may also be available after his groin injury.

Wayne Brown is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem, but may be back in contention by the time of the trip to North London.
