Town keeper Andy Marshall says that there has been no lack of effort on the part of the players this season and that everyone is united as the Blues seek to dig themselves out of their relegation hole. George Burley has given his squad extra training sessions in the light of the Bolton game.

Town's players were called in on Monday for a post-mortem on Saturday's catastrophic performance.

In addition they have undergone extra training sessions every day this week as the crucial final four games of the season get closer.

Marshall says that the players are happy to put in even more time if that means avoiding the drop: "We'll stay at work until nine o'clock at night if necessary.

"We're still thinking about that Bolton game. I know I had a bad time and I often find myself just sitting in the car thinking about it. I know that goes for many of the other lads as well. As a team and individually we let ourselves down. We let the club down. We let the fans down.

"We're all in it together. We know what happened and we've got to put it right. We've got a long break before the Arsenal game. That's far from ideal, but nothing can be done about it. Personally I would have preferred to have been in action on Tuesday night.

"We've got to pick ourselves up. A massive game is coming against Arsenal.

"At Bolton it was a case of too many people, including myself, having a bad game at the same time. I'm getting it straight in my head after Bolton and others are too."
