Taylor on Trial at Doncaster Wednesday, 19th Jul 2017 01:05 Departed Blues defender Steven Taylor is on trial with Doncaster Rovers. The 31-year-old played the first half for the League One side as they drew 1-1 with Derby County in a friendly at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday evening. Town winger Danny Rowe’s brother Tommy scored the Rovers goal. Earlier this week, former Newcastle and Portland Timbers man Taylor was told he would not be offered new terms by the Blues, his short-term contract having been up at the end of last season. Meanwhile, Doncaster have confirmed that striker John Marquis, linked with Town on social media in recent weeks, has signed a new three-year deal.
