Reports in Spain claim that Finidi George is a summer target of Atletico Madrid. The Nigerian has previously spent time in Spain with Real Betis and Real Mallorca, from where he joined Town last summer for £3.1 million.

His spell at Town has hardly set the world alight despite seven goals and the occasional stunning performance or fine goal.

Finidi is unlikely to go to the World Cup in the summer and, as one of the club's higher earners, is amongst the favourites to be on his way over the summer if Town are relegated on Saturday.
