Bru With Mauritius for India Tournament Thursday, 17th Aug 2017 18:16 Out-of-favour Blues midfielder Kevin Bru is with the Mauritius squad in India for a tri-nation tournament which takes place over the next week. Bru and Mauritius take on the hosts on Saturday, then St Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday with both games taking place in Mumbai. India play St Kitts and Nevis in the final fixture next Thursday. The 28-year-old was told he could move on if he found another club at the end of last season and is currently considering offers from sides back in his native France - he qualifies for Mauritius via his parents - and elsewhere. Speaking on Monday, manager Mick McCarthy reiterated that the one-time Levski Sofia man, who hasn’t been given a Blues squad number this season, remains firmly out of his plans despite the current dearth of fit central midfielders. “It’s time for him to go and find something else," McCarthy said. "He knows that, he’ll get something I’m sure. I’m surprised he hasn’t, to be honest.” Bru, who joined the Blues following successful trial in the summer of 2014 and has a year remaining on his contract, has previously won nine Mauritius caps without scoring.
