U23s Face Blades
Tuesday, 29th Aug 2017 09:36

Luke Hyam and Tom Adeyemi are expected to play for Town’s U23s against Sheffield United at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm).

Hyam, 25, is continuing his comeback after a knee injury and will be playing his third U23s match, while Adeyemi would be making his first appearance in a Town shirt if he is involved.

The 25-year-old, who signed on a free transfer following his release by Cardiff at the end of last season, missed the whole of pre-season and then first month of the campaign proper having initially been ill before picking up a calf injury.

Loanee winger Bersant Celina, 20, may also be involved this evening having also been hampered by illness in the opening weeks of the season.

A number of the young players who impressed in the Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace last week are also likely to feature.

Meanwhile, Town's U18s suffered their second successive 6-1 defeat at Bolton on Saturday, Bailey Clements scoring for the young Blues, who were missing a number of players due to their involvement with the first-team and U23s squads.
