Celina's Kosovo U21s Beaten
Thursday, 9th Nov 2017 20:18

Blues loanee Bersant Celina played the full 90 minutes as Kosovo’s U21s were beaten 4-0 at home by Israel in this evening’s European Championships qualifier.

The 21-year-old, who has won eight full caps, scoring one international goal, was playing his second game for Kosovo at U21 level, in addition to a single cap won at that level with Norway prior to switching allegiance.

The Kosovo U21s are in action again on Tuesday when they take on Azerbaijan in Baku in another European Championships qualifier.

Not as one-sided as the result suggests. Kosovo had 8 shots on target and 8 shots off-target, in comparison with Israel (5 shots on target and 4 shots off-target). Kosovo had more possession and more corners (5/3) but failed to make them count. I've only got this info from looking at reports on the game....so no clue as to how Celina performed.
