Town’s FA Youth Cup fourth round tie against Dagenham and Redbridge will take place at Portman Road on Tuesday 16th January (KO 7pm).

The Daggers won their rearranged third round match at Oxford United 3-0 on Thursday, the fixture having been postponed the previous Wednesday due to the inclement weather.

Alan Lee's side pulled off a shock in their third round tie when they defeated Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Town have carried off the trophy on three occasions, in 1973, 1975 and 2005.

It would give the players a boost and hopefully a chance to get a glimpse of those coming through the ranks. As wisely stated on this forum as well in the club's mission statement a club like Ipswich needs to rely on talent brought through the system.
