Nydam, Bru and Kenlock in U23s Facing West Brom in Premier League Cup
Monday, 26th Feb 2018 11:54

Tristan Nydam, Kevin Bru and Myles Kenlock are all in the Town U23 side facing West Brom in their final Premier League Cup group game at Portman Road this afternoon (KO 2pm).

Also in Gerard Nash’s team are January signings Barry Cotter, Aaron Drinan and Chris Goteni, as well as striker Ben Morris, who was praised by manager Mick McCarthy last week.

Town’s U23s are currently third in their Premier League Cup group and have only a slim chance of reaching the next phase if they win today's match, which was switched to the afternoon a few days ago having initially been scheduled for this evening due to the expected below-freezing temperatures.

They also require Villa to beat Sheffield United in the other fixture - which was set to be played today but has been postponed - as well as a five-goal turnaround.

Entry to this afternoon’s match is via the Hall of Fame bar on Portman Road, doors will be open at 1.30pm, with the only centre section of the lower tier of the Cobbold Stand open. Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Bru has been a decent servant but surely we have a younger kid....or anyone who could step in and play given our season is already over.

Suspect another example of how MM likes to make sure his good-guy image in the National media, with other Clubs and even redundant players over-rides the needs of our Club. Expect statements along the lines of how he has to field a strong team against anyone who still has something to play for. NO YOU DON'T.

Stop playing loan players and players that are surplus to requirements and blood some of Klug's lads NOW.
