Bramble Misses Tour
Bramble Misses Tour
Friday, 31st May 2002 11:58

Town defender Titus Bramble will miss the pre-season tour of Denmark, even if he hasn't joined another club by then. The 20-year-old will not have recovered from his achilles operation in time.

Bramble expects to be back in time for Town's home-based pre-season games. The England U21 man is one of the players tipped to be on his way form Portman Road this summer.

Meanwhile Matteo Sereni, like Bramble a favourite to depart Portman Road in the summer, is in Japan watching the World Cup. He will meet George Burley to discuss his future when he returns to Portman Road.

Italian side Parma have said they are interested in the former Smapdoria man.

Sereni shares an agent, Stephen Firth, with Amir Karic, involved in Japan with Slovenia. Firth says that a number of clubs will be watching Karic, who first impressed Town during Euro 2000, at the World Cup.

Two days ago TWTD reported that the Japanese media have claimed that Karic's old club Gamba Osaka, as well as Urawa Reds and Nagoya Grampus Eight, will be keeping an eye on the Town misfit during the tournament.
