![]() Wednesday, 5th Jun 2002 18:04 Slovenian bad boy Zlatko Zahovic has apologised for his dressing room outburst at manager Srecko Katanec. Manager Katanec decided to resign after Zahovic's attack in the wake of their 3-1 loss to Spain. Benfica-man Zahovic looked to be on his way home, but is now in bridge-building mood: "I am very sorry for the things I said in the dressing room after the game. "I am absolutely aware that they were strong words. I apologise to everybody and to the World Cup association and to Katanec. "I felt that at the time it was the only appropriate reaction for me. However this story should come to an end or it will not be possible to go on in the World Cup." Zahovic and Town misfit Amir Karic are now set to meet South Africa on Saturday. Zahovic's apolgy, however, has not persuaded manager Katenec to change his mind about leaving his job after the World Cup and says he has already had job offers from Italian clubs.
