Jobs Won't Go - New CEO
Jobs Won't Go - New CEO

Town's new CEO Derek Bowden has told staff that jobs will not be going despite Town's relegation. Bowden, a former Saatchi and Saatchi executive, starts his job at Portman Road on July 1st.

Bowden said: "It is not my brief to slash and burn.

"There must be ways of working more efficiently. I have come from a completely different type of business where we did things completely differently and if I can apply some of the techniques we learnt at Saatchi, especially given the tough times we went through in the advertising industry, hopefully we can find ways of reducing costs without affecting people."

Bowden added that he aims to try to make the club less reliant on TV pay-outs and to make Portman Road and the Academy seven-day-a-week facilities.
