![]() Tuesday, 2nd Jul 2002 09:22 Titus Bramble's move to Newcastle has been put on hold to allow him to recover from his summer achilles tendon surgery. Bramble was in Newcastle yesterday and the move was expected to be confirmed, however the completion of the deal is now further away. Newcastle officials don't expect any problem, but want to wait until medical staff approve his level of fitness before the deal is rubber-stamped. Although the deal is not considered in any doubt, the move now may not take place for a few weeks. Town and United have agreed a fee, thought to be along the lines of £5 million now and another million on a set number of appearances and England caps. Meanwhile Town are awaiting a fax from Brescia to confirm Matteo Sereni's loan move to the Italian club.
