El Mizouni in Tunisia Olympic Squad
Sunday, 11th Nov 2018 17:18

Academy midfielder Idris El Mizouni has been named in the Tunisian Olympic squad for a friendly against Egypt on Thursday 15th November.

The squad meet up for a training camp tomorrow before flying out to Egypt on Wednesday alongside the Tunisian senior side, who face the Pharoahs in an Africa Cup of Nations game on Friday.

El Mizouni, 18, won his first cap with the Tunisian Olympic side last month when he played the first 79 minutes of a 2-0 friendly defeat to Italy in Vicenza.

That match and Thursday’s game are part of the squad’s preparations for the qualifiers for the African U23 Nations Cup, which will be held in Egypt in November 2019 and forms the qualifying process for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

El Mizouni, who has made an impressive start to the season with Town in the U18s and U23s, was born in France but qualifies for Tunisia via his father.
