Town and Ipswich Borough Council have launched the ITFC Town Hall Celebrations experience, showcasing the various Blues celebrations held at the Town Hall over the years.

Opening at 10am today, the mini-exhibition features historical artefacts, some never previously displayed to the public, digital content and memorabilia.

Curated by the Ipswich Town FC Heritage Society, it covers the celebrations of the 1962 league title, the 1978 FA Cup win, the Blues winning the UEFA Cup in 1981 and the play-off final victory in 2000.

There is also the opportunity to have a photo taken with Town’s replica of the FA Cup trophy, while there are activities for younger fans including the opportunity to write to their favourite Blues player, the chance to design their own Town kit and a height chart illustrating how they compare to Blues players, including 6ft 9in tall keeper Tomas Holy.

In addition, Town’s seasonal pop-up store is also now open alongside the mini-exhibition with events such as signing sessions planned for the run-up to Christmas.

The ITFC Town Hall Celebrations experience is open from 10am to 4.45pm Monday to Saturday until Christmas Eve, as well as during late night shopping dates and Sunday trading in December with a full opening hours schedule to be published.
