FA Cup Third Round Draw on Monday Thursday, 28th Nov 2019 10:41 Town will be ball number 48 in Monday’s FA Cup round three draw if they’re still in the competition following Sunday afternoon’s second-round tie against Coventry City at St Andrew’s (KO 2pm). The draw for round three takes place at the Etihad Stadium at 7pm live on BBC Two and the iPlayer when former Arsenal captain Tony Adams and ex-Manchester City defender Micah Richards will be pulling the balls from the bowl. Third round ties will take place over the weekend of January 4th. If Town are involved then their League One game at home to Fleetwood will be postponed. The last time Town weren't involved in round three of the FA Cup, which they won for the only time in 1978, was in the 1955/56 season when they were defeated 3-1 away by Peterborough United at the first-round stage. The Blues won their first FA Cup tie in nearly 10 years at the 16th attempt in round one when Alan Judge's last-gasp goal saw them to a 1-0 replay victory over Lincoln at Sincil Bank.
