Burley and Sheepy Comment

George Burley and David Sheepshanks have been quick to comment on Hermann Hreidarsson's decision to stay at Town. Both were reluctant to accept the Baggies' offer, citing financial constraints as the major force behind the decision.

Sheepshanks told the club site: "Hermann came to see the manager, George Burley and myself earlier after considering the move to West Bromwich Albion and said he would prefer not to make the move."

George Burley added: "It was with great reluctance that we accepted West Brom's offer for Hermann in the first place and the only reason it was accepted was because of our financial restraints."

With Town needing to bring in cash it looks likely that the attention of transfer speculation will turn elsewhere, most likely skipper Matt Holland who is interesting Aston Villa.
