![]() Monday, 22nd May 2000 13:57 It now seems unlikely that any tickets will be left to go on general sale on Wednesday. Sales up to now have been quicker than expected and the club say that they could have sold the entire ground had they been given sufficient tickets. Both Saturday and Sunday saw queues start at the Ticket Office and go completely round the ground and past the entrance to Churchman's. These queues were dealt with by the Ticket Office with uncharacteristic swiftness and by 12.30 on both days fans had no need to queue if paying with cash and only for 15 minutes or so if paying with a credit card. Some fans are criticising the prioritisation of tickets with some season ticket holders having access to three tickets if they had bought Portman Plus Gold cards and had a priority voucher from the semi-final. How postal applications worked out is yet to be seen, but some long-distance Blues are worried that they might not be getting the tickets they were after. Today you require eight stubs per ticket (these must come from different games). Tomorrow fans with just four stubs will be entitled to tickets, but we advise that you get to the ground as early as possible as there may only be a few left. Town return to training again today after a brief rest. Should the Blues overcome Barnsley the likelihood is that there will be a procession through the Town early on Tuesday evening with a Civic Reception at the Town Hall.
