Town manager George Burley says that the Blues will not be able to fit in all the matches they need to rearrange by the end of the year.

So far European qualification has meant the postponement of the Burnley and Wolves games while the Grimsby match at the weekend was called off due to international commitments.

The Town manager admits that Town being a number of matches behind their title rivals is not an advantage: "It's not going to help our league position when we're three games behind the others, but we can only accept the situation as it stands.

"We've played seven games — we've won four, drawn two and lost one. It could be better, but it could also be worse. We've played well in several of these games.

"We'll be playing catch-up right into the New Year in terms of games played.

"There isn't room to fit them all in before the end of the year, so we just have to get on with it. We will have to be patient; there's no point in worrying about it."
