![]() Friday, 13th Sep 2002 11:36 Town and Norwich players will shake hands before Sunday's East Anglian derby at Portman Road as part of the Shake Hands on Derby Day initiative introduced a few years ago. Town chairman David Sheepshanks says he has been looking forward to the derby, but warns that any trouble could cause both clubs problems. He told the club site: "The derby game has been eagerly awaited since the fixtures were published and promises to be some occasion with a full house and a partisan divide! "We will welcome our visitors from Norfolk and hope that the match can be trouble free amongst the fans both inside and outside the ground. "The Shake Hands on Derby Day initiative will see the players shake hands before the match in the same style as for international games. "We all understand the traditional rivalry between the clubs which adds to the excitement but I ask everybody please not to allow this to spill over into unnecessary aggression or abuse. Any trouble ultimately can only damage the two clubs."
