Bangor boss Peter Davenport claims his club were snubbed by the Blues after they offered to give them advice on UEFA Cup opponents FK Sartid. The Welsh side faced Sartid in the qualifying round of the same competition, losing 2-1 on aggregate.

Davenport says he offered to give Town an insight into the Serb side prior to last Thursday's first leg which ended 1-1. The former Forest, Middlesbrough and Manchester United striker said: “I used to play with Ipswich's first team coach Tony Mowbray [at Boro] and was expecting a call about Sartid last week.

“I always want British teams to go as far as they can in Europe, so I thought it would only be a matter of time until Tony got in touch.

“But the only call I had was from travel agencies, asking about hotels, flights and coach hire.”
