![]() Wednesday, 25th Sep 2002 13:45 Town boss George Burley has backed keeper Andy Marshall after the keeper dropped a clanger in the early stages of last night's match against Brighton and Hove Albion. Burley said of his underfire stopper: "Every keeper makes mistakes, and when they do it is often crucial. Andy has played very well since he came to the club and is a talented keeper." Midfielder Jamie Clapham felt that Town had done much to get themselves back on the right track against Brighton: "The team showed its great character. It would be easy to roll over and die in the situation we found ourselves in. Despite the disappointments, there has never been any lack of spirit in the squad. "We got our reward to the extent that the game was over by half time. It's good to embark on a Worthington Cup run again, but we all know that the big priority is the league."
