Town Away on First Day
Town Away on First Day

Town look likely to start their Premiership campaign away from home according to provisional lists drawn up by the Premier League. Assistant Secretary Adrian Cook said yesterday "While it is not guaranteed, I am expecting Ipswich to be away on the opening day of the season". Norwich are pushing for an away day first off too, although their fixtures and Town's are not likely to be linked now that the two sides are in different divisions. The Nationwide League kicks off a week earlier anyway.

George Burley watched the Slovenia-Yugoslavia game last night as expected. It is not known who his target was, although he is rumoured to be looking at specific players.

Some papers have caught up with the Carl Regan story today (see yesterday), but it seems that he is off to Barnsley.
