Club Told Me - Moore
Club Told Me - Moore

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore says that his board told him of Town's approach and if this isn't the case then there's been what he refers to as "an almighty cock-up".

The former Southport and Tranmere boss said after his club's match with Gillingham that he plans to meet with his chairman: "I want to see my chairman Ken Booth and get this sorted out between the two clubs.

"Our chief executive Phil Henson told me before the game there had been an approach by Ipswich. If there hasn't been it's an almighty cock-up.

"Whatever my club say, I do feel entitled to talk to Ipswich. There is an escape clause in my contract and there comes a time when opportunity knocks and I think this is it."

David Sheepshanks has denied any Town contact with the Millers.
