Extended Loan for Miller?
Extended Loan for Miller?

Leyton Orient manager Paul Brush is keen to secure the loan of Town central defender Justin Miller until the end of the season. Miller was back at Town on Monday to meet with Joe Royle and Willie Donachie.

The South African has had two excellent months on loan at Brisbane Road but his spell, and that of Charlton player Jamal Campbell-Ryce, is up after Saturday's game against York City.

O's manager Paul Brush wants the deal to secure both players longer term completed by Friday of this week, in time for them to be registered for the FA Cup tie with Margate on November 16th.

Brush said: "We are keen to keep them both, but it depends on a lot of things; the players, their clubs and agents all have to agree on it, and if we are going to have them for the Margate match, we need to know by Friday.

"Jamal has a hamstring problem and has missed training with illness but could still make the weekend, and Justin went back to Ipswich on Monday for a day so he could meet their new management team.

"Obviously neither player wants to feel left out at their clubs so we've said that if they do stay we would let them go back there two days a week to train, but we hope they will see the benefits of playing first team league football.

"They've both made a big impression and this isn't really the ideal situation for anyone, but we're hoping it will be resolved by the end of the week."

Miller, 21, has made 11 starts in the two months he has spent in East London so far.
