Town youngster Darren Ambrose has been called into the England U21 squad for the get-together at Burnham Beeches next week. Previously Ambrose has been in U19 squads but this is the first time the U21s have called.

U21s manager David Platt cited Ambrose for praise alongside Everton's Wayne Rooney: "Youngsters such as Darren Ambrose of Ipswich and of course Wayne Rooney are playing as though they have international careers ahead of them and so this is an ideal time to bring them in to let them get a feel for what we are about."

Former Town defender Titus Bramble is also in the squad.
