Former Town left-back Neil Thompson, now the man in charge at Boston United, has praised loanee Richard Logan on his performance at the weekend. Logan was given a free transfer by Town last week and joined the Pilgrims on a month's loan shortly afterwards.

Logan was a second half sub on Saturday and impressed former nappy salesman Thompson: "Richard Logan was terrific and he was the only bright spark on a dismal afternoon.

"He looked useful and I hope he can continue in the same manner when we go away to play the Shrimpers.

"A lot of times this season we have lacked a cutting edge in front of goal and I hope he can remedy that for us.

"He is a confident lad and he hasn't been affected by the struggle we have been going through in the last few weeks.

"I hope his new outlook could give us something we haven't had for a few games now."
