Town keeper Andy Marshall says he hopes his performance at Liverpool last night can be the springboard for him to win back his place in the first team.

Marshall said: "It was great to play again. My general game felt good and now I am confident I can go forward.

"I have been out of the side and it has been disappointing to say the least, but I have kept my head down and kept working.

"I am desperate to make it here and this game was just what I needed. I feel as though I have proved myself again and there is no reason why I can't go forward to take it on and on."
