![]() Friday, 10th Jan 2003 09:34 Striker Marcus Bent says he is ignoring transfer speculation, instead preferring to concentrate on getting back to full fitness with Town. Bent has been linked with a number of clubs with Tottenham reported to be heading the chase. However, the 24-year-old says that although he is keen to get back to the top flight, he'd rather do it with Town: "I'm flattered to be linked with these clubs and would obviously love to be back playing in the Premiership. “I came here to play in the Premiership and although we tried our hardest for one reason or another we didn't stay in there. “It is still my ambition to play in the Premiership. I would like that to be with Ipswich, but if someone came in and the club, because of the money situation here, had to sell me then that is something else.” Yesterday Bent's agent Charles Burt said that Town had received a number of enquiries regarding Bent but that the Blues' £3 million valuation was putting prospective buyers off.
