![]() Friday, 10th Jan 2003 09:52 Town skipper Matt Holland says he has heard nothing other than the odd whisper regarding any clubs coming in for him during the January transfer window. Holland turned down Aston Villa in the summer and Graham Taylor was widely predicted to have another go at capturing the Ireland international during January. The Villa boss is now understood not to be interested in Holland, but a number of other clubs were linked with the 28-year-old in the summer. The Town skipper told the club site: "I have heard the rumours and a few whispers around but have certainly not been told about any bid. "With the transfer window open, us being in the First Division and with our financial situation well documented, you are bound to get stories and speculation about the players here. "It's part of the game now and you get used to it."
