Seems a strange title considering Beattie played for England. Albeit nowhere near as many times as he would have, if not for injuries.

Butchersbroken nose, broadbent. Love to know why the downmarks? Simply making an observation about the title of the book.

Kevin Beattie is one of our greatest players. Unfortunately he never achieved the caps due to circumstances. The negative response was for your comment. Hopefully the Author could explain the title. KB rest in peace.

Broadbent. Of course he was. Our,best ever player imo. And many others opinion too. My comment wasnt negative at all. Just purely a question of how the title sounds inaccurate to the facts.

A really great read. Definitely a Christmas present for younger Town fans (under 40!) to understand the legend that was The Beat.
