![]() Wednesday, 15th Jan 2003 10:15 A number of tabloid newspapers are linking Town with a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur keeper Lars Hirschfeld. The Canadian international is currently third choice at White Hart Lane behind Kasey Keller and Neil Sullivan. Hirschfeld, 24, signed an 18-month contract with Spurs last summer but is yet to make an appearance for Glenn Hoddle's club. Previously the ex-Calgary Storm and Energie Cottbus player had been on loan with Spurs and spent time with Portsmouth. Town boss Joe Royle took Everton's Paul Gerrard on loan late last year when he also enquired about the availability of Manchester City's Nicky Weaver. With Andy Marshall again at fault for a goal at the weekend, a loan move for another keeper is by no means unlikely.
