Dickinson's Millers Trial
Dickinson's Millers Trial

Young Town midfielder Robert Dickinson has gone on trial at Rotherham with a view to a permanent move. Dickinson, a skilful winger, has failed to make progress towards the first team this season.

The copper-topped Yorkshireman, once compared to Paul Gascoigne by former TWTD columnist John Wark, was part of the same Academy year as Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose. The 19-year-old has failed to keep up with some of his contemporaries and has made only fleeting appearances for the reserves this season.

Dickinson is due to play in Rotherham's reserve side facing Oldham tonight at Boundary Park. Just before Christmas he turned down the chance to join Cheltenham on loan.
