Hero's Son Loses Town Job Thursday, 16th Jan 2003 10:09 Robert Osborne, son of 1978 FA Cup goal hero Roger, was one of the Portman Road employees who lost his job last week. Town made 18 redundancies in a bid to reduce their outgoings by £500,000. Osborne had been working in the Ticket Office for the past year on a contract via a recruitment agency. The 24-year-old never became a permanent member of staff as he intended to go travelling abroad, something he now plans to bring forward. The off-field redundancies, 15% of the staff, came from a number departments at the club.
