![]() Monday, 20th Jan 2003 09:49 A national newspaper is reporting that Finidi George could be set for a move to Fenerbahce in Turkey. The Nigerian is available on a free transfer and a settlement of his contract is currently under discussion. According to the story he is to have talks with the Istanbul club who are also interested in Spurs' striker Sergei Rebrov. The report's reliability is questionable as it also says that George is now a free agent which, although widely reported at the end of last week, is not the case. The former World Cup star is continuing his recovery from an ankle injury and could be in the squad for the home reserve game with Leicester City on Wednesday (KO 7pm). Martijn Reuser, Richard Naylor and Alun Armstrong are also likely to be involved while Mark Venus is a possible if he has no further problem with his knee. The game will provide Joe Royle with his first chance to see South African central defender Justin Miller in action. Miller spent the early part of Royle's reign at Town on loan at Leyton Orient and has missed the subsequent reserve games with a chest infection.
