Striker Richard Logan has signed a contract with Boston United which will keep him at York Street until the summer of 2004. Logan has been on loan with the Pilgrims for the last two months.

Former Town left-back Neil Thompson is the Boston manager and he is delighted to have Logan on board full-time: "We have agreed a deal that suits everyone and we are all very pleased to have him here permanently.

"Richard has been excellent for the club so far and that is when he has been unsettled, so I am confident he will do a job for us and score goals.

"He didn't get one against Bury [in a 0-0 draw] but the result was excellent considering they are third in the table.

"We played to our strengths and it was a superb display.

"We have developed and the lads we have brought in, including Richard, have been a credit.

"It doesn't take just two minutes to sort things out but I believe we are getting where we want to be."

Although Town have received no fee for the 21-year-old they will take a percentage of any future Logan transfer.
